These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the website essencesagdal.com and the booking of stays at Les Essences d’Agdal (the “Riad”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing our website or making a reservation, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope of these Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to:
- Your access and use of the website essencesagdal.com.
- All reservations and stays made directly with us (via our website, email, phone) or through third-party booking platforms.
Specific conditions displayed during the booking process (such as cancellation rules, payment terms or special offers) form part of your contract with us. In case of conflict, the conditions shown at the time of booking prevail over the general terms below.
2. Reservations and confirmations
By making a reservation, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.
A reservation is considered confirmed when you receive a written confirmation (email, message or booking confirmation screen) containing the main details of your stay (dates, room type, rate, number of guests).
You are responsible for checking the accuracy of the information in your confirmation (dates, room, number of guests, price). Any error must be reported to us as soon as possible.
3. Rates, taxes and fees
Room rates are indicated per night and per room, for a specified number of guests. Unless otherwise stated, rates:
- Include or exclude breakfast as indicated at the time of booking.
- May be subject to local taxes or city taxes, which may be collected separately in accordance with applicable regulations.
We reserve the right to modify our rates at any time. However, once your reservation is confirmed, the rate applicable to your stay is the one indicated in your confirmation, except in case of clear and obvious error.
4. Payments and guarantees
Depending on the rate and the booking channel, we may:
- Request a valid credit card as guarantee at the time of booking.
- Charge a deposit or the full amount of the stay before arrival.
- Collect payment on site at check-in or check-out.
The specific payment conditions (deposit, prepayment, balance on arrival or departure) are indicated during the booking process.
If payment or valid card details are not provided within the required timeframe, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.
5. Cancellations, modifications and no-shows
Cancellation and modification conditions depend on the rate and the booking channel used (flexible rate, non-refundable rate, special offer, etc.). These conditions are displayed during the booking process.
- Flexible or semi-flexible rates: may allow cancellation or modification free of charge up to a certain deadline, after which fees may apply.
- Non-refundable or promotional rates: are generally not refundable or modifiable. In case of cancellation, modification or no-show, the full amount may be charged.
In all cases, the cancellation policy displayed at the time of booking prevails.
A no-show (failure to arrive without prior notice) may result in the cancellation of the remaining nights and the application of the fees indicated in the booking policy.
6. Check-in, check-out and identification
Standard check-in and check-out times are indicated on our website and/or in your booking confirmation. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible upon request and subject to availability and possible extra charges.
Upon arrival, we may ask you to present a valid identity document (passport or national ID) for legal and security reasons. We may also require a credit card as guarantee for incidentals.
If you expect to arrive late, please inform us in advance so we can organise your welcome. In case of very late arrival without notice, we cannot guarantee that check-in will be possible.
7. Use of rooms and maximum occupancy
The room is reserved for the number of guests indicated in your reservation and confirmed by us. You agree not to exceed this maximum occupancy without prior agreement.
Rooms are reserved for residential use only. Any professional, commercial or event use must be expressly authorised in writing.
You agree to use the room and common areas in a reasonable manner and to respect the furniture, equipment and decor. Any damage or missing items may be charged.
8. House rules (quiet hours, smoking, visitors, pets)
You agree to respect the house rules communicated on our website, in your confirmation or on site. In particular:
- Quiet and respect: guests must respect the calm and intimate atmosphere of the riad and avoid excessive noise, especially during night hours.
- Smoking: smoking is not permitted in the rooms and indoor common areas. Designated outdoor areas may be available where smoking is allowed, if indicated on site.
- Visitors: external visitors are not allowed to stay overnight in the rooms without prior agreement. Parties, events or gatherings that may disturb other guests are not permitted.
- Pets: if pets are accepted, this is subject to prior agreement and specific conditions (number, size, behaviour). You remain responsible for your pet and for any damage caused.
In case of serious or repeated breach of the house rules, we reserve the right to terminate the stay without refund.
9. Liability and personal belongings
We take reasonable care to provide a safe and comfortable environment. However:
- You are responsible for your personal belongings. We are not liable for loss, theft or damage to your property, unless caused by our proven fault.
- For security reasons, please keep your valuables with you or store them safely. We advise you not to leave valuables unattended in the room or common areas.
- We are not liable for consequences of events beyond our reasonable control (power cuts, internet outages, external noise, etc.).
Our total liability, if established, is limited to the amount paid or payable for your stay, except in cases where a higher limit is required by applicable law.
10. Website use and content
The website essencesagdal.com is provided for information and booking purposes.
- We strive to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it is free from errors, omissions or interruptions.
- We reserve the right to modify the content of the website, including room descriptions, services and rates, at any time.
- All texts, photos, logos and other content on the website are protected by intellectual property rights and may not be copied, reproduced or used without our prior written consent.
11. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations if such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control (“force majeure”), including but not limited to: natural disasters, fires, floods, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, wars, civil unrest, major technical failures or interruption of essential services.
In such cases, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible and will work with you to find a fair solution (postponement, credit, partial refund, etc.), depending on circumstances and applicable law.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
The version applicable to your stay is the one in force at the time of your booking. We encourage you to review this page regularly.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in Morocco.
In case of dispute, we encourage you to contact us first in order to seek an amicable solution. Failing this, the courts of the place where the riad is located shall have jurisdiction, unless mandatory legal provisions provide otherwise.
